How To Love Yourself Unconditionally

Everybody wants to find that special someone that they can spend their entire life with. The person that they can love unconditionally and be loved unconditionally in return by. Of course before you can find that special someone in your life you have to learn to love yourself.

If you do not love yourself you will never be happy. Even if you find someone that you can’t live without your lack of love for yourself will eventually either mess up your relationship or make you dependent on your significant other to fill that giant hole you have inside you.

To truly be happy and to truly know what it means to love and be loved you first have to realize how to love yourself.

“You must love yourself before you love another. By accepting yourself and fully being what you are, your simple presence can make others happy.”

Forgive Yourself

We have all done things that we are not proud of. Maybe you made a stupid mistake and it ended up costing you a lot of money. Or maybe you did something wrong to another human being and cannot believe how much pain you have caused them.

Whatever bad things you may have done in your life it is no use beating yourself up over it. Focusing on a bad situation is never the answer. Even if you did something that was so bad or so stupid that nobody else will ever forgive you, you still need to learn to forgive yourself. After all, if you don’t stand up for yourself who will?

If you don’t forgive yourself and deal with your problems how can you expect to ask for forgiveness from others. You need to realize that you are a human being. You have to be willing to allow yourself to make mistakes.

That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care about making a mistake. Learn from your mistakes and always try to be a better person, just don’t sit around feeling sorry for yourself over something you did in the past that you can’t change. You are human, you can grow.

Work On Self Improvement

It’s no secret that I am a big believer in self improvement, I’ve written numerous self improvement articles so far and don’t intend to stop :). The reason I believe in it is simple. When you work on self improvement you began to see yourself grow.

As you work on bettering yourself you start becoming the person that you want to be. So you are skinny, but as you lift weights you began to build muscles and get the body you’ve always wanted. So you can’t read very fast, but as you work on it you began to become a much more, well read person and learn to do more.

When you began to improve yourself you realize that no matter what situation you are currently in it is not permanent. You can get stronger every day, and you will never stop growing. Life is just that, it’s a process of growing and becoming a stronger better you.

Self improvement opens the door to loving yourself because it is pretty hard to feel bad about who you are when you see that you are making miraculous changes in your life and you are becoming an even better person every day.

Fall In Love With Life

When you feel better about the world around you, it makes you feel better about yourself. And why shouldn’t you feel great about life? It is such a wonderful thing.

The world is full of opportunities, challenges, and experiences. They are all here to help you grow. Nobody else is going to live the same exact life that you are living. Nobody else is going to have the experiences that you have.

That makes you unique. It makes you interesting and different. It means you have something to offer this planet. Your life matters in this world and you have much more power than you realize. Falling in love with life means you recognize what a great world we live in and what great possibilities we have.

Realize That You Are In Control Of Your Own Reality

You have the ability to create your life however you want it to be. You have the ability to decide whether you want abundance or scarcity to appear before you and that is a pretty exciting feeling.

It’s the law of attraction. You are creating your reality. Your thoughts are literally changing the world as we speak. In this world you are an experimenter and that is really a mind blowing fact if you sit and think about it.

Focus On Your Strengths

Regardless of who you are you have strengths. Too many people feel bad about themselves because they compare their weaknesses with other people’s strengths.

You are unique and that means you have unique strengths as well. You may not be as fast of a runner as someone else, but you may be able to beat them in other areas of life.

Realize that you do have something to offer. You have your own unique abilities. You may not have found out what your unique abilities are yet, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there.

You do have strengths; you are amazing in your own way.

Realize That You Are Unique

If all else fails you can realize that you are a unique person. You have something to bring to the table that nobody else can. You have had experiences nobody else has had. You think in a way that nobody else does.

You are unique! You are special! You have gifts! And you are in control of your own reality! You are amazing; learn to love yourself for it.

I agree that “When you began to improve yourself you realize that no matter what situation you are currently in it is not permanent.” The impermanence of all things, not just situations but all forms, including our bodies is the key to it all. “This too shall pass” is a favourite line I use when the house is a mess, the kids won’t eat/sleep/get dressed appropriately!! We are all doing our best, even if we beat ourselves up about it not being enough. Being present is vitally important too, it helps shed the baggage of emotional pain that we carry around with us and also stops us living in the future.. those neverending thoughts of “I will be happy when…” Growth is good, but don’t get too hung up on the results either, try to enjoy the process!

I agree, it is all about self improvement. No matter what situation you are in now you can change and improve. Everything is just temporary and it’s the future we should be concerned about, not the present.
